Scrapbooking Gift Ideas
Did you know that you can give somebody a wonderful gift by putting some thought into it and making it yourself. Using your scrapbooking skills you can come up with something extra special.
You can make wonderful gifts using your scrapbooking skills, including framed collages, cards, mini albums and gift boxes. Not only will you impress that special person in your life with your skills, but it will usually be a unique creation that they will be able to cherish forever. Here are some tips you can try when making your gifts.
Mini Booklets
Mini booklets or albums can be made from scratch or bought from your craft shop already made, and you will just need to add your photographs. Mini albums make wonderful gifts for Fathers or Mothers day, a Grandparents birthday, or even a special valentines gift.
Gift Boxes
Gift boxes that are decorated by you can be used to keep mementos or jewelery in. You could also fill a decorated gift box with special photographs or poems that relate to the person that you are giving it to. A gift box with photo’s inside that open concertina style of a special occasion is something that can be cherished forever. It is something that I will cherish forever.
Cards
Scrapbooking and card making techniques are very similar and making cards is a great way to use up all your left over scraps from your scrapbooking projects. A homemade card is always far more appreciated than a bought one, and you will also save a bundle.
Framed Pictures
A beautiful scrapbook page that has been framed makes a wonderful gift. Grandparents always enjoy getting photo’s of their grandchildren, so why not do a lovely page of all the best photo’s and frame it with a frame to compliment the décor in their house.
Clocks
Another beautiful gift that can be made is a wall clock. Buy a clock kit from your local craft store and everything should be included to make a functioning clock. Place the photo’s of your choice behind the face of the clock and embellish as you wish. All you need to do then, is have the clock framed and there you have a unique and useful gift for someone special.
When you make somebody a gift, make sure that if it is a clock or framed picture that it will go with or compliment the décor in their home. It is no use giving somebody a purple clock if their home is all done in mutual colors, or your clock could end up hiding up in a wardrobe somewhere.
