Let me tell my story why I have decided to start this website.

You know when we are growing up we have expectations of what our lives are going to be and what we are going to do.  Looking back, not much of what I expected has actually happened.  Making a few mistakes along the way sent me off on a tangent that left me separated from my family.  Always wanting to please my husband, I took the easy road and alienated myself with my children and grandchildren.  I was so disappointed about this situation, but I wasn’t strong enough in myself to change it.  Bringing up my children mostly on my own, and then not having the contact with them, was not where I wanted to be.  Then something happened to change all that.

Last year my daughter and son-in-law asked if I would look after their youngest child, Xavier, for 3 weeks, the only thing was that I would have to travel to New York with them and then onto Florida to look after Xavier. (OH! Let me think about that for a millisecond).  As I had never actually looked after my grandchildren, would I be able to do this or more to the point could I not do this?  Wow, traveling the world and being able to be a Grandmother and getting to know my Grandchildren was just too good to miss out on.  Three weeks with Xavier on my own and three weeks with my other grandchildren, my daughter and son-in-law was such a magical time.

After spending this time with Xavier, I realized how much I had missed out on and what an absolutely beautiful angel this little person is.  I also realized what I had missed not knowing who all my Grandchildren were and more importantly I wanted them to know who I was.

Since then I have spent much more time with all my Grandchildren and now feel that I am actually a Grandmother.  Not only have I learnt to know how wonderful these beautiful grandchildren are but I have also found my children again.

My life has changed so much for the better, with all my family big and small around me, loving me and me loving them.

I believe that when you are ready your Teacher will appear.  Well my teacher was an 11month old gorgeous little man – Thank you Xavier.
